Where to Sell Digital Photos
By Thomas Allan Rye
So you have a bunch of photos or are planning on turning your hobby into a freelance career. The question is...where to sell digital photos? This article will show you exactly that.
Now, there are a lot of different ways you can go about doing this. You can sell your photos to individuals that want artwork. You can sell your shots to stock agencies. And you could even be hired to take photos on contract. But this article is going to focus on what I believe to be the easiest method...micro stock photography.
Micro stock photography is easy for many reasons:
-No "REAL" boss. You set your hours and how much you work
-No need to drive anywhere...everything is done on the internet
-Only need a 3 mega pixel camera to start submitting photos
To get started on this stock photography, the first thing to do is register and open an account on these websites. It's free and is really easy to do. After this, then you can start uploading the photos you want to sell.
How much do you get paid?
This is where a lot of people are turned away. You're paid around a quarter for every download your photo gets. Now, this seems small. Well...it is. But if you have a few hundred photos and they're getting downloaded around once a day, you could easily get a part time incomes worth on them. And the great thing is, once your photos are uploaded, they'll continue to be downloaded for years to come.
